On 2 June 2017, Mr. K.V.Kamath, the President of the New Development Bank had working meetings with high-level officials during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2017.

During a working meeting between Mr. K.V.Kamath, Mr. Alexander Galushka, the Minister of the Russian Federation for Far East Development and Mr. Leonid Petukhov, the Director General of the Far East Investment and Export Agency, a high investment potential of the Russia’s Far East region and investment opportunities existing there were highlighted.

During a working meeting with Mr. Maksim Oreshkin, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the NDB President provided an update on the Bank’s work and projects approved by the NDB Board of Directors. The priorities of the Ministry and its plans to support infrastructure development by attracting private investment and further engaging with development banks were discussed.

On the same day, Mr. K.V.Kamath had a working meeting with Mr. Rustem Mardanov, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Bashkortostan Republic. The potential projects in Bashkortostan, including a toll road construction project in Ufa and the forthcoming visit of the Bank’s delegation to the region were discussed.
