On September 12, 2026, H.E. Mrs. Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank met with Mr. Ashish Khanna, Director General of the International Solar Alliance, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit in Delhi, India.
The conversation centred on solar financing and renewable energy partnerships in member countries of the Bank. Deploying renewable energy at scale and directing a significant share of financing toward climate change mitigation and adaptation remain core to NDB’s mandate.
The meeting underscored NDB’s commitment to partnerships that accelerate the sustainable energy transition across its membership.
