On June 10, 2023, NDB President Dilma Rousseff met with H.E. Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, President of Honduras, at the NDB Headquarters.
President Rousseff welcomed President Xiomara Castro visit to the Bank’s Headquarters and reiterated NDB’s commitment to supporting infrastructure and sustainable development projects in BRICS and other emerging economies and developing countries, contributing to their development strategies and agendas.
During the meeting, it was noted that NDB’s strategic goal is to become the leading bank for emerging markets and developing countries, and with the expansion of its membership, NDB aims to bolster its role as a platform for wider collaboration between developing countries.
