Anil Kishora
Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer

Mr. Anil Kishora assumed office as the Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the New Development Bank on 7th July 2020. In this role, he is responsible for the NDB’s risk management, general strategy, policies, partnerships and ESG functions. He has also been leading the Bank’s engagement with relevant global forums on climate change and mobilizing additional developmental resources.

Having started his professional career in 1982, Mr. Kishora has a wealth of experience in diverse areas of banking, such as retail operations, corporate lending, overseas expansion, strategic planning, human resource management, regulatory affairs, and risk management.

Mr. Kishora has held several leadership positions at the State Bank of India (SBI) during his long tenure, notably serving as SBI’s Deputy Managing Director & CRO (2018-2020), Chief General Manager of the bank’s Local Head Office in Chandigarh, India (2015-2018) and as the CEO of SBI, Singapore (2009-2014).  He has also been a Council Member of Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), a member of the boards of International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers (IACPM), New York, and Macquarie SBI Infrastructure Management Pte. Ltd., Singapore, and a trustee of Macquarie SBI Infrastructure Trustee Ltd.
