On March 6, 2026, H.E. Mrs. Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank, began her visit to India with a roundtable in Bengaluru, hosted by Nasscom.
The session brought together leaders from India’s start-ups, fintech, AI, and digital tech sectors to explore how digitalisation and AI can reshape multilateral banking. They focused on lending, treasury, portfolio management, and knowledge sharing, and discussed opportunities to collaborate with the New Development Bank.
President Dilma Rousseff noted India’s remarkable progress in digital adoption and highlighted how its technology ecosystem offers valuable insights for other member countries.
The participants also discussed AI’s impact on the future of work, emphasising the need for re-skilling and up-skilling to mitigate job displacement while maximising the benefits of emerging technologies.
