Summary
The Seventh Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the New Development Bank was held virtually on May 19, 2022, under the chairmanship of India, with the theme “NDB: Optimising Development Impact.”
During the Meeting, the Board of Governors approved the Bank’s General Strategy for 2022–2026, which sets the course for the NDB’s evolution into a leading provider of solutions for infrastructure and sustainable development, for emerging market economies and developing countries.
The Meeting highlighted that in the 2022–2026 strategy cycle the Bank will focus on maximising development impact by enhancing its role in resource mobilization, to support an increasingly diversified portfolio of high-quality projects.
NDB also announced the launch of its Indian Regional Office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), in India.
